Brand Identity for a game studio
This was just a two-month-long project, but I am really proud of being the first brand identity I did for a real company.
Founded in 2013, Cool Times is a game studio located in Sao Paulo, Brazil. They believe that there is a kind of game for everyone and their mission is to develop them to be part of people's lives through a positive and playful experience. They design games for entertainment and educational ones for companies and schools.
My task was to redesign the brand identity to communicate with all of their values.
A simple and clear logo and brand identity that translates their missions and values.
The old logo
The first thing was to list all the problems related to the old logo, and what elements were helping to build a cohesive brand identity and what elements were not. It was clear that the old design was too overloaded and the elements weren't building a strong and clear communication of the company's vision.
Together with this analysis, I made a quick benchmark research to understand who were the primary and secondary competitors and how they express their visual identity.
The result is a simple and minimalist brand, therefore bold and playful. It is smart and at the same time timeless, expressing all the values and vision of Cool Times in an iconic and outstanding form.
